So, it turns out that there may be some wisdom in not initiating major back-end upgrades to the site mere minutes before I must sleep for work. I just tried to upgrade to Drupal 4.6.2, and whilst 94.3% of it seems to be working hunky dory, the remaining pieces appear to have exploded in a shower of sparks.
Specifically, I'm not sure if my image galleries will ever work quite right again. At the very least, they'll be slow until Googlebot is kind enough to trigger the regeneration of every thumbnail on the site!

Carde.com is a strange, fun, and for some people (you know who you are!) highly-addictive blend of personal, professional, and academic information on me, as well as a community networking site for my friends. On a personal note, I've been blown away (and frankly, almost cowed) by the level of response and participation that this site has experienced. So please, if I know you, make an account and post whatever comes to mind while you're visiting the site!
